Mr Piffles

Mr Piffles

How dare you!! He is a Magic Dragon. An actual real live Magic Dragon who, together with the World’s First Magic Performing Chihuahua (Mr. Piffles) has taken the world of magic by storm!!! STORM, I SAY!!! If you’ve seen Piff The Magic Dragon (yes, you’ve heard of his older brother, Steve…) on Penn & Teller’s TV show ‘Fool Us’, you’ll know how truly remarkable (and magic) Piff actually is. Of course, so is Mr. Piffles. He’s pretty amazing too, and Piff wouldn’t be where he is today without Mr. Piffles agreeing to work with him…. (my Yorkshire Terrier, Jake, made me write that bit). Prism Night Jokers

** UPDATE – This deck was successfully funded on Kickstarter. Click HERE to purchase **

As the saying goes: “You live and learn.” The first time Ben Jones of Elephant Playing Cards launched Prism: Night onto Kickstarter I knew I wanted to own a deck of these cards. The colour, design, vibrancy, the gloss ink and just the very fact that they were different to anything I had ever seen made them a must-have for my collection. So I pledged for a couple of decks and sat back and watched and waited – counting down to the funding deadline as I’m sure Ben and all the other backers were too. Continue reading

GLITCH 2.0 Playing Cards are on Kickstarter now – click this link to be taken to the project page.

Glitch 2.0

No need to adjust your screens. We are experiencing a slight technical glitch, and we apologise for any disruption.

GLITCH 2.0 - 10 of Spades

OK, so… we have Windows 10, the iPhone 6, Playstation 4, and now Glitch 2.0. When a product is a huge success the creators will always find a way to release a newer, bigger, brighter, bolder version to satisfy the ever-growing demands of the buying public.

San Francisco-based Swiss designer Soleil Zumbrunn knew she was on to a winner when the first edition of Glitch playing cards sold out after being successfully funded on Kickstarter in June 2014. 500 backers pledged almost $16,000 to ensure that the original deck went into production, and now GLITCH 2.0 hopes to achieve the same level of acclaim. With 62% of the funding goal of $12,000 already achieved it’s safe to say that this 2nd generation deck is sure to match, if not exceed, the triumph of the first. Continue reading

Bicycle The Lumberjacks

Bicycle branded The Lumberjacks Playing Cards 2nd Edition are being funded on Kickstarter NOW! Click here to be taken to the project page.

Usually, when something is described as being a ‘2nd Edition’ we presume that it is simply an updated, slightly moderated, the-odd-tweak-here-and-there version of the ‘1st Edition’. Well, it has to be said, not with this deck. ‘The Lumberjacks’ 2nd Edition Playing cards by Baltimore based Vadim Smolenskiy may have the same theme as the 1st Edition. They may be Bicycle branded like the 1st Edition. They may be printed by USPCC on their Air Cushioned Finish card stock, yes, you’ve guessed it, just like the 1st Edition. But….. in my opinion….. these are a completely different animal to the first deck. Worthy of being their own ‘1st Edition’ in fact. Continue reading

The Architect Playing Cards - Cardistry 3With his roots firmly in design and magic tricks, it’s no surprise that Kansas-born Jared Hansen chose such a clean, crisp, classical design concept as his inspiration for this truly stunning deck of playing cards – The Architect.

“Designed from the ground up to resemble a blueprint, The Architect features a contemporary, refined back design filled with modern symbolism while reminiscent of more traditional, classic playing cards.” – taken from the Kickstarter project page.
